WhatsApp today: the list of cell phones on which the app will stop working from October 31

A new list of cell phone models that will stop receiving WhatsApp support from October 31 was released. This indicates that they will not be able to update the application and therefore they will be left without the Meta messaging service. The impossibility is given by the operating system with which certain devices work.

In recent years, the platform has positioned itself as a key communication tool in all areas. Far from the only social purpose that it had at the beginning, its expansion managed to introduce it in all segments: work, personal, organizational, etc.

In this context, WhatsApp constantly launches updates and new features within the service that try to improve the user experience. While some go through minor issues, others are important and have certain demands on the operating system.

Due to what has already been mentioned, for millions of people in Argentina and the world it is essential to be able to enter the app and use it normally. Unfortunately, many of the new tools mean that some devices can no longer run the app.

As reported, cell phones running Android version 4.0.1 or lower will no longer be able to update the app. Although some users who have this version of the operating system can update it and continue using WhatsApp, many models will be left out as of October 31.

How to check the operating system of my cell phone

The process is very simple and consists of a few simple steps. In the case of Android users, go to Settings, About the phone and finally enter the Software information section. Inside, the version of the operating system will be presented.

The very similar step by step for those who use iOS. Here you just have to go to Settings and then go to General and Software Update. There, the cell phone will show the version number and you can check if the device is still able to use WhatsApp.
